About Damian Proctor.

I built this site as a place to house the ideas and theories I have on design, technology and other areas of interest to me so that I could explore these ideas, to develop them, discuss them or just record them for posterity. I firmly belive that technology should be closely linked to great design, but then I also believe that the Foxes will win the FA Cup soon.

When I am at work

I can be found plying my trade at Redweb, in Bournemouth. My main role is as a Principal consultant, as either a Senior strategist or Senior designer for a wide range of public and private sector clients. However, no matter how much I might ponitificate at work, Randomapricot is a personal site, and the opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent my employers.

When I am not

When I’m not designing or hanging with my beautiful wife Laura, I’m either down the beach with my dog Morph, trying to take better pictures, taking a mulligan, taking in a bit of UFC or improving my writing skills right here.

If you are at all interested, this website has been hand coded in Text Wrangler on a Mac Book Pro. It sits on a Wordpress base with a smattering of FontJazz for the headings and the modal windows are handled by ShadowBox.

I kept the design simple and therefore the layout sits pretty comfortably in most browsers, with only minor cosmetic adjustments for our old friends from Micros**t. The logo, headings and navigation are set in Lubalin Graph Book and Georgia is used for the body copy.
